The greatest commandment is to love your neighbor (others) as yourself. -Lev 19:18; Gal 5:14

WORKSHOP GOAL: To increase our level of People Literacy

What is “People Literacy?” People Literacy is all about interpersonal skills which are the life skills we use every day to communicate and interact with other people, both individually and in groups.  People who have worked on developing strong interpersonal skills are usually more successful in both their professional and personal lives.

Unlike specialized and technical skills (hard skills), interpersonal skills (soft skills) are used every day and in every area of our lives

Learn to communicate the love and grace of God more effectively

  • Understand how and why others misunderstand you.

  • Understand how and why you misunderstand others.

  • Understand who you are, why you are motivated the way you are and why you do the things you do.

  • Understand, respect, and value others and their individual differences in order to communicate and interact with them more effectively.

  • To understand how different styles work together and complement one another to increase effectiveness and productivity.

Strengthen your relationships in every environment [Family, Work, Church, Etc.]

Through awareness of how you interact with others - and with practice - you can improve your interpersonal skills.  The People Literacy Workshop aims to help you learn and develop your interpersonal skills.

Achieving our greatest potential is found in learning to relate effectively with others. Personality styles are the language of observable behavior. If you took a moment (or a few hours) to "people watch", observing how people behave in a given situation, you would see personality styles in action.

Your values, motivations and personality have the power to drive your success or your failure at work or at home.
